4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro (Group Joining Safari)

This 4-day group joining safari is ideal for travelers who want a complete Northern Circuit experience in a shared and well-managed format, without compromising on wildlife time. Starting in Arusha, you explore the elephant-rich landscapes of Tarangire, then continue to the legendary Serengeti plains for big cats and classic safari scenes, before finishing with a full-day descent into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of the most concentrated wildlife areas in Africa. The routing is planned to follow the best viewing windows while keeping the journey comfortable and organized.

Over four days, you enjoy a balanced mix of game drives and scenic transfers. On day one, Tarangire offers dramatic baobab scenery and a high chance of spotting large herds of elephants and buffalo. Day two takes you into the Serengeti ecosystem with a game-drive approach, arriving in time to settle and enjoy the atmosphere at camp. Day three focuses on Serengeti wildlife viewing and then heads toward the Ngorongoro highlands for a restful overnight close to the Crater rim—important for an early and efficient start on your final day.

This is a true group joining safari with daily departures and a friendly shared experience, limited to a maximum of six guests per jeep for clear viewing and comfort. Pickup is available from Arusha town or your lodge in Arusha, with drop-off back in Arusha town or Arusha Airport after the Crater game drive. If you have special requests—dietary needs, room preferences, or a private upgrade—our team can assist while keeping the same itinerary structure.

4 Day Group Joining Safari Tanzania

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Overnight in Karatu (Country Lodge Karatu / Marera Valley Lodge)

Your group joining safari begins with a morning pickup from Arusha town or your Arusha hotel. After a short briefing, you drive toward Tarangire National Park, known for its wide savannah, iconic baobab trees, and some of the largest elephant gatherings in Tanzania. Once inside the park, you start your first game drive with time to settle into the rhythm of safari—stopping for wildlife, enjoying the scenery, and following your guide’s best routes based on the day’s sightings.

Tarangire is famous for elephant families moving between the river and the plains, as well as buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and a wide range of birdlife. Predators are also present, and sightings can include lions and leopards, especially near the riverine areas and dense vegetation lines. You enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, then continue the game drive until the afternoon.

After the safari, you depart Tarangire and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Country Lodge Karatu or Marera Valley Lodge, a relaxing base in the highlands with a cooler evening climate.

Day 2: Karatu to Serengeti National Park – Dinner & Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp / Osioni Serengeti Camp

After breakfast, you begin the journey toward Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro highlands and into one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife ecosystems. The scenery shifts beautifully from cultivated highland farms to open plains, and the route offers impressive viewpoints along the way. Your guide shares context about the regions you pass, the wildlife migration patterns, and what to expect as you enter the Serengeti.

Once you reach the Serengeti, the safari experience becomes immediate. You enter the park and begin game viewing en-route as you head toward camp, watching for lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, elephants crossing open areas, and herds of zebra and wildebeest moving in long lines across the grassland. This is also a prime time for photography, with changing light and wide landscapes.

In the evening, you arrive at Serengeti Heritage Camp or Osioni Serengeti Camp for dinner and overnight. Enjoy the atmosphere of the bush, a warm meal, and the sounds of wildlife in the distance as you rest for the next day’s game drive.

Day 3: Serengeti Game Drive – Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands (Ngorongoro Wild Camp / Ngorongoro Ang’ata Camp)

Today is dedicated to the Serengeti’s world-class wildlife viewing. After breakfast, you depart for a game drive designed around the best morning activity—when predators are often still active and the plains are alive with movement. Your guide focuses on key habitats such as kopjes, open hunting grounds, and water sources where wildlife gathers. With patience and experience, the day often brings outstanding sightings and memorable moments.

Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds and active predator behavior, as well as giraffes, topi, hartebeest, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species. You stop for lunch (picnic style), then continue game viewing before beginning your transfer toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes you from the wide Serengeti plains up into cooler highlands, setting you up perfectly for the Crater descent the following day.

In the late afternoon, you arrive for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp or Ngorongoro Ang’ata Camp. An overnight close to the Crater is important for an early start, better wildlife viewing timing, and a smoother final day.

Day 4: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Departure to Arusha (Town or Airport)

Your final day is one of the most iconic safari experiences in Tanzania: a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. After an early breakfast, you descend into the caldera to maximize wildlife sightings. The Crater’s unique geography forms a natural amphitheater with grasslands, swamps, acacia woodland, and a soda lake—creating a rich habitat that supports a high concentration of animals year-round.

During the day, you have excellent chances to see lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos, and elephants, along with abundant birdlife. With luck, you may also spot the rare black rhino on the open plains. Your guide navigates the best areas based on fresh tracks, radio updates, and daily movement patterns, giving you the best possible Crater experience.

After a picnic lunch inside the Crater, you ascend and begin your drive back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at Arusha town or Arusha Airport, concluding your 4-day group joining safari.
