Starting in Arusha, you begin with Tarangire National Park—famous for its baobab landscapes and elephant herds—then continue to the endless Serengeti plains for big cats and wide-open safari scenes. The journey ends with a full-day Ngorongoro Crater game drive, one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense natural amphitheaters. The plan is designed to keep the experience smooth, social, and efficient.
Camping makes the safari feel closer to the bush. Nights are spent at public campsites inside or near the parks, where you can enjoy the natural sounds of the wilderness and a simple safari routine. Your guide manages timing and route choices to match the best viewing windows, and you travel in a shared 4x4 safari vehicle with a maximum of six guests per jeep. Meals are provided throughout the safari and are prepared in a practical camping style that fits the pace of the trip.
Daily departures make it easy to join, even on short notice. Pickup is available from Arusha town or your Arusha lodge, with drop-off back to Arusha town or Arusha Airport after the Crater. If you want extra nights in Arusha, a private upgrade, or help with connecting flights, we can assist while keeping the same itinerary structure.
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from Arusha town or your hotel in Arusha. After a quick briefing, you drive to Tarangire National Park, a beautiful destination known for its giant baobabs, river ecosystems, and large elephant families. Once inside the park, you start the first game drive and quickly get into safari mode—watching for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and the many bird species that thrive around the Tarangire River.
Your guide follows productive routes based on the day’s movement patterns, stopping at key viewpoints and wildlife areas to maximize sightings. You enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue game viewing into the afternoon. Later, you drive to the campsite for a practical camping setup, dinner, and overnight in the bush environment.
Overnight at a public campsite (camping). The atmosphere is simple and authentic, with the wilderness close around you.
After breakfast, you begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park. The drive is scenic and rewarding, moving through changing landscapes as you approach the Serengeti ecosystem. Your guide shares insights about the region and the wildlife behavior you can expect, including predator zones and herd movement patterns that shape the Serengeti’s famous safari experience.
Once you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast plains and classic safari territory. You begin game viewing en-route, looking for lions resting under acacias, cheetahs scanning for opportunities, elephants crossing open grasslands, and large herbivore herds that attract predators. You continue toward your camping area, stopping for wildlife whenever the moment is right.
In the evening, you arrive at a public campsite for dinner and overnight. Camping in the Serengeti is a memorable part of the journey, bringing you close to the sounds and rhythm of the wild.
Today focuses on Serengeti wildlife viewing. After breakfast, you head out for a game drive during prime hours when animals are active and the light is excellent for photography. Your guide targets key habitats such as kopjes, open plains, and water points where wildlife gathers. The Serengeti can deliver incredible variety, from large herds to predators and a wide range of birdlife.
After lunch, you begin your transfer toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, leaving the open plains behind and climbing into cooler highland scenery. The goal is to position you well for an early Crater descent on the final day, which greatly improves the overall experience and wildlife viewing timing.
You arrive at a public campsite in the Ngorongoro highlands area for dinner and overnight, preparing for the full-day Crater game drive ahead.
Your final day is dedicated to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most iconic and wildlife-rich destinations. After an early breakfast, you descend into the caldera to maximize sightings across grasslands, woodland areas, swamps, and the soda lake. The Crater’s enclosed ecosystem supports a very high density of animals, making it one of the best places for consistent safari viewing.
You can expect excellent chances to see lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, hyenas, zebra, wildebeest, and many birds. With luck, you may also spot the rare black rhino. Your guide works with the best routes of the day to follow active wildlife areas, while ensuring you enjoy the scenery and the scale of this natural amphitheater.
After a picnic lunch inside the Crater, you ascend and drive back to Arusha for drop-off at Arusha town or Arusha Airport, concluding your 4-day group joining camping safari.
